A huge mistake that your opponent will oftentimes make is letting you control him with a Cross Collar Grip on the lapel of his kimono from the Closed Guard. If he does nothing to remove the grip, you will be able to easily break his posture, and find the angle to insert your second hand inside his gi for the Cross Collar Choke.
